Step 1. Sign in as the root user of the account that you want to close.
Step 2. Open the Account Settings page of the Billing and Cost Management console.
Step 3. Scroll to the Close Account heading.
Step 4. Read and understand the terms of closing your account.
Step 5. Select the checkbox, and then choose Close Account.
Step 6. In the confirmation box, choose Close Account.
Within a few minutes, you’ll receive email confirmation that your account has been closed successfully.
Note: If you want to close the master account in an organization, first delete the organization.
Alternatively, Cancel Your Account through Form
To delete your account, simply drop them a message using this contact form.
Follow these steps below:
Step 1. Go to the following URL ”https://aws.amazon.com/contact-us/?nc1=f_m”
Step 2. Click on I am AWS customer and looking for billing and account form.
Step 3. Meanwhile, once you click on it a drop-down option will appear if you do not know login credentials click on UNABLE TO SIGN IN or if you have then click SIGN IN button.
Step 4. Immediately, you will be taken to the page where you will need to fill forms.
Step 5. Now, on the section, “Tell Us About What We Can Assist You” write “DELETE MY ACCOUNT”
Step 6. Fill the form appropriately, including adding your EMAIL ADDRESS that is linked to the account you want to delete.
Step 7. After filling the form, click on Submit to send your account deletion request.
